All Updates

( Back to the Pen and Paper Home Page )
02/11/05
Notice anything? The pen and paper site is (finally) redesigned! Some things may still change (this doesn't look too pretty, does it?), but we're mostly there.

Not everything is done yet. The Review link doesn't quite work yet, and we don't have a submission page. But all of the other categories have been finished and All of our old content is still available. The Active Campaigns page will be automated... eventually.

In fact, I would like to automate most of this. There are more important things though, and aside from the few touch-ups I've mentioned this will be it for the near future!

Work is beginning again on the P&P section. If you haven't stopped by recently, do so! Archmagi has added some stuff recently that you might find interesting.

Well, it's finally started. I've got a few things that I wanted to put up here, but... alas... the site was sort of falling to bits, with only one Archmage to keep the whole thing together.

Well, I've programmed ourselves a new drop-down menu that I think will look a good bit better, and the pen and paper page now has a full-fledged Automatically Updating News Script. Widget. Thing.

As far as I am aware, the whole Pen and Paper site is functional if very ugly and hard to get around. This will be fixed later, as I have a headache from 8 hours of code-debugging.

Further updates to come!

According to Wizards of the Coast, a brand new DnD supplement, Races of Stone is due release this month. This book chronicles the goings on of three races: Dwarves, Gnomes, and the brand new race, the Goliaths. "In addition to new subraces and monster races playable as characters, Races of Stone also provides new prestige classes, feats, spells, magic items, equipment, monsters, and rules for magic rune circles."
Also, the new expansion for DnD minitures, Abberations, has its latest preview up here.

Okay... I've added pages for Call of Cthulhu d20 and for AD&D/AD&D 2e, but I've only added content for D&D 3e right now. At the moment, I've re-added my complete D&D Bestiary, which is now a little less than complete since I haven't had the time to update and reorganize. I've also re-added the sections on "What is a pen and paper RPG" and "So you want to play D&D?". These are in the D&D 3e section, although at least 2 of the 3 should be relocated when I have the time.

I'm finally getting around to work on this stuff. The first order of business is taking some of our old content from the previous incarnation of our pen and paper page. I'd also like to write some reviews on books and systems, and Algnazer may be helping as well -- for starters, he owns the d20 Cthulhu book (I don't). Archmagi1 has many ideas, too, and I would be mildly surprised if we don't see some of his work in the near future.
